ITU now has a profile on Bluesky
As you may have seen, ITU now has an official profile on Bluesky

Bluesky is a microblogging social media platform similar to Twitter/X, but decentralised and with better moderation tools.

If you want to follow other ITU related accounts on the platform, we have created a starter pack to make them easy to find.

Please contact the Communication Department (rgli@itu.dk) if you want to be added to the starter pack.

Slides and summary intro to the MSCA-PF
On 9 January, Research Support held a webinar on the use of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) to continuously attract fully funded international postdocs.

It was a mix of an introduction to the funding scheme followed by an interview and Q&A with Steffen Dalsgaard who is currently a supervisor for one postdoc under this grant scheme.

Find the slides here and a summary from the interview by clicking below.

Contact Research Support for further guidance on how to navigate the MSCA-PF funding scheme on research@itu.dk.

The annual salary negotions will be postponed
In agreement with the union representatives for both VIP and TAP, the annual salary negotiations for 2025 will be postponed until autumn. This decision was made to ensure that the new organisation at ITU is fully finalised before the salary negotiations take place.

The qualification allowances will apply retroactively as of 1 April 2025.

During the spring, the process for the annual salary negotiations will be planned, and there will be an announcement in ReadIT once the process is uploaded to the intranet.

You are welcome to contact your union representative if you have any questions.

CCIT Seminar w. Clara Vandeweerdt: The Activist's Trade-Off
Join us for our first CCIT Seminar of the semester, where we are joined by Assistant Professor Clara Vandeweerdt (KU) for a talk called Activist's Trade-off: Climate Disruption Buys Salience at a Cost.

Disruptive non-violent climate protest is on the rise with more and more movements turning to non-normative actions in the hopes of creating policy change. So far, research has found mixed results regarding the effects of disruptive tactics on public opinion.

In this talk, Clara will introduce the first study to measure effects on salience (awareness of climate change as a problem) side by side with other policy-relevant climate attitudes.

When and where: 28 January from 12:00-13:00 in room  3A08 and online.
