We are slowly launching WISEflow
As a part of ITU’s ongoing efforts to enhance your exam experience, we are soft launching a new digital exam system.

Some students have already done exams in WISEflow, but a lot of you will not be involved until next semester or even later. Still, we want to share the news with you early on to avoid any confusion.

This week, students on different programmes and courses will be notified through your course page in LearnIT about a Spring course exam taking place in WISEflow. If you hear nothing, it just means that your exam is still taking place in LearnIT.

Disable default Teams meetings setting in Outlook
Did you know you can prevent Teams meetings from being added automatically when booking a meeting in Outlook?

This can help avoid confusion when scheduling in-person meetings where a virtual option is not needed.

Follow these steps to turn off automatic Teams meetings:

For Mac users:
  1. Go to Outlook settings
  2. Navigate to Calendar -> Events and Invitations.
  3. Uncheck the box ‘Add online meeting to all meetings’.

For Windows users:
  1. Go to Outlook options.
  2. Navigate to Calendar
  3. Uncheck the box ‘Add online meeting to all meetings’.

Computer vision-based systems designed to enhance care
Join this talk by Babak Taati from the University of Toronto today at 10:00 to 11:00 in room 5A60.

The subject will be the crucial role technology plays in supporting the well-being of older adults, particularly those with physical or cognitive impairments.

This talk explores computer vision-based systems designed to enhance care.

A key challenge in developing these systems is the limited availability of pathological data which is often costly and difficult to collect.

To address this he introduces a generative AI approach for creating synthetic pathological data, augmenting real datasets to improve model performance and reliability.
