Navigating generative artificial intelligence
Generative artificial ntelligence continues to impact daily life, work life, and most likely your student life also, and it raises the question of how to use it best when it comes to your studies and exams.

As an ITU student, you can use Microsoft Copilot by logging in with your ITU credentials. MS Copilot is a type of AI Chatbot, and when using it via your ITU account, you are offered a more secure use, as it comes with 'Enterprise data protection'.

To help you navigate Generative AI in your studies and exams, we have also streamlined the ITU Guidelines on generative artificial intelligence and made a dedicated site with “best practices”.

CCIT Seminar with Neil Selwyn on Digital Degrowth
On 24 April from 12:00-13:00, the Center for Climate IT has invited Professor Neil Selwyn for a talk titled “Digital degrowth ... perhaps *not* the worst idea on the planet?”

In 2020, Wired magazine declared degrowth to be ‘the worst idea on the planet’. Taking inspiration from Andrew Ahern’s observation that ‘degrowth pisses off all the right people’, Neil Selwyn considers what degrowth and post-growth thinking might have to offer those looking to radically break away from the destructive modes of digital excess that have come to define the first few decades of the twenty-first century.

In short, this talk considers a deceptively simple question – how might degrowth thinking support ambitions of sustainable, scaled-down and equitable ways of living with digital technologies?
