Head of Programme for Games is back from sabbatical
Following a research sabbatical, Hanna Wirman has returned as Head of Programme for the MSc in Games. 

Thank you to Rune Nielsen, who stepped into the role during Hanna's leave. Rune will continue as Co-Head of Programme.

Make it Matter – startup programme kick-off
Make it Matter is ITU’s AI-powered, application-based startup programme where you build, test, and pitch evidence-based ventures in one semester.

From your first workshop, you will be out testing assumptions with real people and updating your thinking based on what you find.

AI helps you learn faster. The judgement calls stay yours.

Six workshops, one every Tuesday from 14:15 to 17:00, starting 15 September 2026.

Turn ideas into impact for a more inclusive future
Are you a student at ITU with an idea for how your field can contribute to a more inclusive society? Join an information meeting about the Bevica Scholarship Programme on 1 September from 14:00 to 15:00 in Scrollbar.

The programme is open to students from all disciplines who have completed at least their third semester by February 2027. You will take part in workshops and develop your project idea with the opportunity to receive funding for further investigation abroad.

Two main prizes of DKK 200,000 are available for students, as well as travel grants of DKK 30,000.

Join the new Social Dining initiative at ITU
Looking for a chance to meet new people over a good meal? Join Social Dining in the ITU canteen. This new initiative invites students and staff to meet over food and conversation. Come on your own or bring a friend.

Social Dining will take place on the first Wednesday of each month from 17:00 to 19:00. The first event is on 2 September.

Tickets cost DKK 50 for students and DKK 60 for non-students. You can buy your ticket in the canteen during the week before the event. Remember to bring your ticket.

Join the WAVE Workshop 2026
BARC is delighted to announce the annual WAVE Workshop (Women in Algorithms, Venture into Exploration), an initiative by the women of BARC to inspire and support more women in Theoretical Computer Science (TCS).

The programme will feature technical talks, a panel discussion, and a student-led poster session, offering opportunities to learn, share work, and connect with others in the field.

Participants of all genders are equally encouraged to attend, as all topics discussed will be relevant to everyone in the field.

Registration is required by 7 September.

Sign up for CampusCup 2026!
Are you free on 11 September and able to find three people you want to team up with to race in kayaks and down some beers (or non-alcoholic beers)? Then now is the time to sign up and start planning your group costume!

CampusCup is a yearly knockout tournament where teams of four compete in a head-to-head kayaking beer relay race. The goal is to reach the opposite side of the channel, chug a beer, and return to pass on the baton.

LAST DAY to secure your Freshers' Festival ticket!
Freshers’ Festival is getting closer, and the deadline for buying tickets has been extended by one day, so you can still secure your ticket if you do it TODAY – 31 August before 23:59.

So, if you are a fresher on either a master’s or bachelor’s programme, remember to buy your ticket using the link below, and remember to ask your fellow freshers if they have bought their tickets too. The ticket price is DKK 30.
