Cancan Wang wins the 2025 ITU Teaching Award
Associate Professor Cancan Wang from the Digitalisation, Democracy, and Governance (DDG) section at ITU is this year’s Teaching Award recipient.

Design Thinking in Practice
Calling all students studying, or simply passionate about design! 

Join us for an evening on how design thinking shapes careers and drives innovation. 

Hear Michael McKay, VP for Digital Products at Novo Nordisk, and Kathrine Fremming from Copenhagen-based VR/AR company Khora, talk about how design thinking drives their creative processes.

Get inspired and ask your burning questions about careers in design.

Community Breakfast & Tech Talk with Rambøll

Listen Up! – AIR Lab Listening Session #1
AIR Lab is excited to invite you all to a series of Autumn events with a special focus on listening, technology, and sound as an affective material. Through performances and/or talks, invited guests will facilitate deep listening experiences – experiences that highlight the role and phenomenology of sound in relation to affective interactions and relations.

The first Listen Up! session will take place in the AIR Lab (in Atrium) on Friday the 3 October from 15:30-16:30. Here, we will welcome jazz guitarist Thor Madsen, who, through years of interest in Human Computer-Interaction (HCI) within musical contexts, has developed the algorithm Thormulator – introducing the computer as a musically responsive and co-creative agent.
 
Workshop: WAVE – Women in Algorithms Venture into Exploration
Take part in this workshop with technical talks and personal reflections about Theoretical Computer Science (TCS). Female researchers will share their insights as we celebrate 150 years since women were first admitted to the University of Copenhagen.
 
The workshop will also include a panel discussion on the challenges in TCS, including the difficulties about early-career female researchers and diversity issues. The panel will include both women and men, as solutions require contributions from all genders in the field.

The workshop will take place at the North Campus of the University of Copenhagen on 10 October from 9:00-17:00.

CCIT Seminar on producing carbon integrity in the Amazon
Join us on 30 September from 12:00-13:00 for a seminar with Barbara Moraes, (PhD, National Museum of Brazil) titled "Producing carbon integrity: financialization of forest conservation in the Brazilian Amazon".

In the aftermath of controversies, integrity has emerged as a central value invoked by entrepreneurs, certifiers, and financiers to resolve the so-called carbon credit crisis.

Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork following a forest-based carbon project in the Amazona's state, this talk explores how integrity is enacted to manage community expectations, cultivate territorial presence, and align with global financial classifications.
