Wishing you a relaxing Christmas break (soonish)
Maybe it seems like the exams will never end, but the holidays are still coming up, and hopefully you will be able to take some days off and stock up on sweets, nice company, joyful hangouts, and perhaps even sleep!

Give yourself a pat on the back – a crazy semester will soon come to an end. We know it can be hard at times, but hopefully it has also been exciting and fun.

Explore the world – study abroad 
If you want to study abroad in Autumn 2026, applications are now open.

You need to apply no later than Thursday, 1 February 2026. You can read more about how to apply here.

No matter if you are deep in the planning or still considering, you can read more about the details of going on exchange on ITU Student.

If you have questions, you can book an online session with our International Coordinator, Anna.The sessions will take place in late January.

Registration for Spring has ended 
The allocation of course seats will take place now.

The course seats are allocated based on specific priorities. You can read about the allocation of course seats here (PDF).

We will let you know when the course allocation has been finalised in January, so remember to check your registrations in January.

If you forgot to register, or you want to make changes to your registrations, you can try at the end of January and start of February.

The registration change period will run through weeks 5 and 6. 
 
New faces in the Educational Management Committee 
From Monday, 1 January 2025, several study programmes will see new Heads of Programme and co-Heads of Programme.

  • Sisse Finken takes over as Head of Programme (HoP) for B-GBI from Hanne Westh Nicolajsen, who headed the programme in 2025. 

  • Louise Harder Fischer steps in as HoP for M-ILM, replacing Lars Rune Christiansen, who has carried out this role for nearly six years.

  • Patrick Bahr leaves K-SD, which he has led since 2021.Martin Aumüller is the new HoP, and Jesper Bengtson is the new co-HoP. 

  • Karl Werder starts as co-HoP for K-DIM. 

We thank Lars Rune, Hanne and Patrick for their work in developing ITU’s study programmes. 
 
ITU will be closed between Christmas and New Year!
ITU will be closed between Christmas and New Year from Tuesday, 23 December at 14:00 to Thursday, 1 January 2026 (both days included). 

Here’s what this means:
  • All doors will be locked, but you can access the building with your access card.
  • The Information Desk will be closed from Tuesday, 23 December, at 14:00, as will all other FM functions, including the canteen.
  • There will only be cleaning in the Atrium.

We will reopen on Friday, 2 January at 08:00.

No hot water at Rued Langgaards Vej 

Due to work on the new water heater at Rued Langgaards Vej, there will be no hot water on Friday 2 January from 8.30-12-30.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to the holidays, the IT Helpdesk will be closed for personal assistance on Monday, 22 December, and Tuesday, 23 December.

Happy holidays from ReadIT
ReadIT will now take a long Christmas vacation. It will return on Monday, 12 January.

The deadline for entries for the next ReadIT edition is Wednesday, 7 January at 12:00.
