The online course evaluation survey opened this morning. The evaluations are highly important. Getting your feedback makes all the difference when developing and strengthening the courses.

Access the survey from the course page in LearnIT. There is a survey for each course you follow. Find the link on the main page towards the bottom.  

Your responses are used by teachers and management to improve each course. Find out more by clicking below.

The survey closes May 15, but why postpone it - go participate now! 
 
Job Hunting, Neurodiversity and Disabilities
Do you wonder about how to present your skills and competencies – and what to disclose about varying forms of chronic and/or neurodiverse conditions (e.g., ADHD, dyslexia, wheelchair usage, chronic illness or other)? And do you want to find out how to best balance the transition from student life to work and career? 
 
We invite you to join a session providing an overview of resources and support available.

You will also get to air your concerns related to job search and the transition into work life. 

When: May 4, 15.00-16.30 in 3A54.

 
TA for Summer University or Autumn Courses?
Do you want to be a Teaching Assistant during Summer University or at the Autumn courses, then it is time to start writing your application. 

Be aware that you need at least two years of studying at an institution of higher education and passing the examinations during this period.

Frontiers of NLP Research Workshop
The NLPNorth group invites students and faculty to participate in our workshop called "Frontiers of NLP Research", featuring invited talks by Natural Language Processing researchers from ITU and other universities.

The workshop will take place on Friday, May 6, 10:00-12:00 and 16:00-18:00 in Auditorium 4 (4A60).

New Climate Talk Series in readIT
ITU Climate Talks is a series of short research videos (5-8 minutes each) by faculty members from all three ITU research departments.The purpose of the talks is to inform and inspire both staff and students by highlighting some of the exciting climate related research underway at the university.

This is the first talk in a series of seven. All talks will be presented here in readIT over the coming weeks. They can also be found on www.itu.dk/climate-IT.

In this first episode Associate Professor Leon Derczynski talks about AI energy deintensification strategies and explains how current coding methods emit unnecessary CO2.
 
Open PhD Positions at the New Pioneer Centre for Artifcial Intelligence
The Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence is a brand new multi-university research centre led by Professor Serge Belongie. The centre is a collaboration between five universities including ITU and is hosted at Copenhagen University.
 
Currently, there is an open call for 15 PhD students starting in the fall of 2022, working at the Pioneer Centre for AI and in the research sections at the cooperating universities - including two PhD openings at ITU.

Start Up Stories: August Gjede
On May 4 from 16.00 to 17.30, ITU Innovators are inviting you to join us in Auditorium 4 for a presentation by August Gjede and subsequent Q&A. During this talk we will be exploring the challenges and experiences that come with building a start-up.

August has built several start-ups, including Peech, Dojo, Kvalifik, and most recently Francis.
