The first talk in the autumn semester is Bernardo Machado David, "What is a Blockchain Anyway?".

In this talk, he will give a gentle and largely non-technical introduction to the concepts of blockchain and cryptocurrency from the computer science point of view, with a special focus on the problems in cryptography and distributed systems that have been solved in the last decade with these systems in mind.

Social Deduction Night
Keen on social deduction or just want to try it out? Come join us this Tuesday,  September 27, from 16:00 in room 4A56 for a night of Town of Salem and free snacks!

Town of Salem is a game of social deduction, similar to Werewolf but with different roles. Don't worry if you have never played it before. All the rules will be explained at the event and beginners are more than welcome.

Please note that we will be playing the card version of the game, so you don't need to bring your laptop.

See you at the event and let's find out who killed Giles Corey!
