First Winner of the New ITU Connectivity Award Have Been Announced
The Computer Science Department has decided to set up a new award, the ITU CS Connectivity award.

The award is given to a student belonging to the Computer Science Department (BSWU, BDS, KCS, KDS, KSD) who contribute to a strong academic and social environment at ITU for both students and educators by taking initiatives that go well beyond the regular activity of studying.

The first ever winner of the award is Nynne Grauslund Kristiansen, studying Software Development.

“Nynne has been instrumental in creating CS Coffee Talks, a series of talks held in Café Analog by CS faculty for students, researchers, and anybody else who is interested. A researcher presents some of his or her own work, and the audience and the speaker discuss any aspects of this work that’s of interest to the audience. All this happens in informal and coffee-infused setting,” says Head of Department Peter Sestofte.

The Department for Computer Science plans for the award to be either an annual or biannual event.
