On November 14, CDW hosted a collaborative workshop to kickstart preparations for a special issue on “Digital Welfare in States of Emergencies: Challenges, Responses, and Reflections.” This workshop marked a significant first step in shaping the special issue, as participants explored potential publication venues, brainstormed possible contributions, and collaboratively refined the overarching theme. Together, we laid the foundation for a focused and impactful special issue.

On December 9, building on the momentum of the earlier workshop, CDW organized a full-day writing session at Zoku Hotel. This intensive session brought together potential contributors, who worked on drafting their abstracts, tackled shared writing challenges, and exchanged valuable feedback. The day also fostered discussions around the synergy between different papers, ensuring coherence and alignment within the special issue.
