Events Coming Up!

📅 March 4-5 | NordForsk Green Transition Kick-Off

Vasilis Galis will represent the EnJustice research project at the NordForsk Green Transition kick-off event.

📅 March 6 | Talk at Arbejdsmiljødagene (Working Environment Day) 2025
Louise Harder Fischer will deliver a talk on “How do we ensure sustainable development as we adopt new AI technology?” at Arbejdsmiljødagene 2025 in Vraa.

📅 March 20 | OffDig 2025 – AI Integration in the Organization
Louise Harder Fischer will speak at OffDig 2025, Denmark’s largest conference on public digitization, alongside Martin Lassen-Vernal, Communications Director at Teknik- og Miljøforvaltning, Københavns Kommune, with talk title, "AI-integrering i organisationen" (AI Integration in Organizations).

📅 March 21 | Masterclass: Your Options in an Age of AI

Louise Harder Fischer and Henning R. Jensen (Kvantelivet/Quantum life) will lead a masterclass titled “Dine muligheder i en tid med AI”. The session will explore how individuals can become co-creators of their own work environment in the AI-driven era.

📅 March 19-21 | Conference Presentation: Democracy and Youth in the Digital Age
Gitte Stald will present at the Democracy and Youth in the Digital Age: Evolving Technologies and Political Participation conference, hosted by the University of Luxembourg. This event is a key part of Luxembourg’s chairmanship of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers.

Short News
On January 23, Cancan Wang delivered an insightful talk at Rejsekort & Rejseplanen, titled “Beyond Compliance – Sustainability Transformation in Public IT”.  Her presentation highlighted critical considerations for ensuring sustainability in public digital infrastructures.

Project Kickoff: Transformative Environmental Justice (EnJustice) 

On February 7, the Transformative Environmental Justice (EnJustice) project, led by PI Vasilis Galis, officially launched at ITU. The kickoff event brought together partners from Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Lithuania, marking the beginning of an exciting collaborative journey toward advancing research across the region.

Exploring Denmark’s Digitalization Leadership
On February 11, Irina Papazu and Cancan Wang published an insightful piece in Politiken, questioning Denmark's global reputation for digitalization. They argue that this status is not merely a prestigious title or an opportunity to attract international interest, but rather a continuous responsibility: one that requires Denmark to proactively develop and future-proof its welfare state while keeping citizens’ well-being at the forefront.

New Themes and Research Developments
On February 24, the Center held a strategic meeting with new research theme leads at Zoku. This gathering fostered discussions on research agendas, collaboration, and future initiatives. The outcomes of these discussions will soon be shared on the CDW's website — stay tuned for updates!
