COLLABORATION ON INTERCONNECTOR BETWEEN GERMANY AND THE ENERGY ISLAND IN THE BALTIC SEA

The Baltic Sea energy island will serve as a hub for a large volume of offshore wind power, and some of this  needs to be exported to other countries, Germany for example. Meet Anne, coordinator for Energinet's collaboration with german TSO 50 Hertz.
50HERTZ: THE ENERGY ISLANDS ARE THE NEXT BIG STEP IN THE EUROPEAN GREEN TRANSITION

Lorenz Mueller from the German TSO 50Hertz is a member of the bilateral Steering Group for the joint project between Energinet and 50Hertz. He sees many opportunities in the cooperation with Energinet about the energy island in the Baltic Sea.
PUBLIC MEETINGS COULD SET THE DIRECTION FOR LARGE ELECTRICAL FACILITIES ON BORNHOLM

The first plans for the large electrical facilities to be built on Bornholm will only be ready to be presented to and discussed with local citizens in 2022. But here in autumn 2021, Bornholm residents can already provide input on the general plan for the Baltic Sea energy island. Read in Danish here.

At the bottom of the North Sea, the geotechnical investigations have resulted in several interesting founds - for instanse this 80 metres long World War 2-submarine. What else did we find - and what else happened since July?
